Monitor your SD card for write cycle limits
For a camera to suddenly stop storing images would be a disaster for any photographer. Over time the cells on all memory cards wear out from overwriting, causing the card to no longer record data, even while shooting. Sony’s SD Scan Utility, for Windows PC and Mac, automatically scans an SD memory card when you plug it in to check its memory status. If there’s a problem, an alert lets you know it’s time to replace it with a fresh card.
